MRT Train Station

AT THE CONCOURSE

- Fire Hose Reel

AT THE PLATFORM

- Emergency Stop Plunger to stop an approaching train from entering the station. If the train is already at the platform, it will be prevented from leaving.
- Emergency Telephone to contact SMRT staff at the Passenger Service Centre
- Emergency Exit Door to escape to street level. Press the “Door Release” Button on the side if the door is locked.
- Fire Extinguisher

IN THE MRT TRAIN

- MRT Door Number for reporting of incident
- MRT Car Numbers for reporting of incident
- MRT Train Number for reporting of incident
- Fire Extinguisher

- Emergency Communication Button to contact the Train Officer and Control Centre staff. Once activated, a train at the platform will be prevented from leaving while a train in motion will come to a stop at the next station.
- Emergency Detrainment Ramps are located at both ends of the train and only to be used in an emergency evacuation. Instructions for use are found on the door leading to the Train Officer’s cabin.


LRT TRAIN STATION

AT THE PLATFORM

- Emergency Telephone to contact SMRT staff at the Control Centre
- Intercom to contact SMRT staff at the Control Centre
- Emergency Train Stop Button to stop an approaching train from entering the station. If the train is already at the platform, it will be prevented to leaving
- Emergency Exit Door to escape to street level. Lift the “Emergency Door Release” cover and break the glass to unlock the door.
- Fire Extinguisher

IN THE LRT TRAIN

- Emergency Next Station Stop Button to alert SMRT staff at the Control Centre and stop train at the next station
- Emergency Pull Handle to unlock door for evacuation
- Emergency Telephone to contact SMRT staff at the Control Centre
- Fire Extinguisher

BUS

- Emergency Exit Button to unlock door for evacuation
- Emergency Hammer to break the windows
